National Trust Interpretation

Go Back

This is a pilot project to establish foundational interpretation standards at National Trust properties, initially within three designated exemplar ‘treasure houses’, namely Kingston Lacy, Powis Castle and Upton House.

The interpretation prototype mock-ups have been constructed and installed, and an evaluation process is currently underway; these will then be subject to refinements before being rolled out to other sites, the intention being to establish a standardised interpretation throughout the National Trust portfolio of properties for the very first time, including a bilingual standard for use in Wales.
