Part of the NLHF funded Phase 4 of the National Museum of Scotland Masterplan, these two new adjoining galleries, housed in the Grade 1 listed building, form a permanent home for the Museum’s world-class collections relating to ancient Egyptian and East Asia cultures.
The galleries were developed to display a wide range of material, inviting visitors to explore these cultures and civilisations, reinterpret the familiar and reveal the unknown. Accessibility is enhanced through digital interactives, films and large-scale contextual images.
