Provocative glimpses connect a series of gallery spaces of contrasting intensity for the display and sale of Medieval and Islamic art in our second gallery building for Sam Fogg. The scheme occupies three floors of an Edwardian building in London’s Cork Street, and includes the lighting and display design for Medieval manuscripts through to Indian miniatures.
As well as gallery spaces, our commissions for Sam Fogg also include a temporary exhibition structure at the Paris Biennale and a stained glass exhibition where the balance of artificial back and ambient front lighting brought out astonishing detail and pigmentation, with atmospheric reference to the glass’s original sites. The display allowed curatorial flexibility while making a compelling whole out of the window fragments.
